Zanesville Community Theatre’s dedication to serving the community continues.

20th Angel Tree Benefit event
ZCT’s 48th Season / 20th Angel Tree Benefit

ZCT’s Annual Angel Tree Benefit strives to create a show that embraces the sincerest meaning of the holiday while serving the needs of community members who find themselves in unfortunate circumstances. Centered on the holiday theme, the volunteers create a festive show that celebrates the season, including winter wonders; traditional holiday music and music that may be in future holiday traditions; tugs at heartstrings, and humor. It’s a Zanesville tradition that leaves folks with a warm holiday feeling.

Auditions are open to all. Everyone who wants to participate can – onstage, behind the scenes, raffle prize contributors – everyone is welcome and no one is turned away. The entire show is made up of volunteers who join in the mission of helping families in need. No member of this production or any ZCT production gets paid. ZCT opens the show for a donation instead of their set ticket price. ZCT’s goal is for families to come and enjoy a holiday show together while knowing their donation is helping families who are in need.

All monies collected by way of donations or raffles goes directly to support the Salvation Army’s cause. All production costs are paid by Zanesville Community Theatre. The entire Angel Tree production is successful because members truly believe in what ZCT’s Angel Tree Benefit does for the community. It’s people helping people.

ZCT’s Angel Tree Benefit began in December 1990 and raised $400 and now,  often raises in excess of $3,000 each year to benefit the Salvation Army serving Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties in Ohio.

Since 2011, Zanesville Community Theatre, Inc. and Zane Trace Players have partnered on this project and raised over $140,000.
