I can honestly say that ZCT was my safe haven as a kid. It provided me with an outlet to express myself freely, all while being surrounded by supportive and friendly folks with my same interests. I am asked often Where did you learn to sing and dance as a kid?, I always answer…My community theater back home. I am truly thankful for all of the theatrical experiences, life lessons, and amazing memories that ZCT has given me. Happy 50th anniversary!!!!

I have been attending for 3 or 4 years and have rarely missed a performance and have always been impressed with the calibrator of the performers and how they create the stage settings.

Zanesville Community Theatre means happy memories of quality entertainment and great people. I grew up with parents who took me to all of Mansfield Community Theatre productions and 25 years ago when I ended up in Zanesville, it was the theatre that made me feel this could be home. Besides watching there are opportunities to get involved. My daughter, Emmy Allen, was wonderful acting in several productions and has a stage manager for the classic, One flew over the Cuckoos Nest. I was able to remember 3 lines for my bit part sitting in the cemetery in my favorite play, Our Town. Going to the theatre just makes me happy. Seeing real people brings stories alive. I know how much work goes into every production and appreciate every bit!

As a professional working actor in NYC I accredit my experiences doing theatre at ZCT as one of the biggest stepping stones to my success.  The experience, community, and friendship I gained with ZCT are things that I will carry with me for a lifetime, and bring with me in all the acting work I do professionally.  Im always grateful for ZCT, and grateful to know its bringing good theatre to my hometown community! And Im proud to have been a part of it!
