Jan Smith (Daddy Warbucks) -Has been in many plays (a lot of plays) mostly musicals and could not be happier to be playing Daddy Warbucks once again. This is one of my favorite roles to play and this show has some of be the great and beloved songs to sing. I believe I got very lucky’ in that this is one very talented cast and I and my wife (Pam) are doing theater together once again. We meat doing theater and it is a joy to be working with her and this bunch of talented theater people. One would be hard pressed to find this high a quality cast even on a New York stage. Remember, support your local arts and enjoy the show. |

Amber Thompson (Lily) - Amber made her Zanesville debut last year as Brooke/Vicki in Noises Off!. At age 12, Amber appeared in Annie! at Ashtabula Arts Center and is very excited to perform in this show as a seedy sinister adult role! Before moving here from Columbus last year. Amber acted up/directed with Center Stage Players since 2006. Her memorable roles included Rose in Bye Bye Birdie, Ronette in Little Shop of Horrors, and directed/played Sara Jane Moore in Assassins. Amber would like to thank Amy and her team for another chance to do what she loves to do here in Zanesville. |

Sharon Wickerham (Ms. Hannigan) - I was involved in drama all four years of high school, where I had the pleasure to play many fun roles, but my favorites included Hedy LaRue in "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying," and Ms. Hannigan in "Annie." After high school, and after I had moved to Zanesville, I also had the pleasure to perform the roles of a bum, a Boleyn sister, and the Star to Be in "Annie" when it was at Secrest Auditorium. As you can see, "Annie" is definitely my favorite show and I am so ecstatic to be back in the role of Ms. Hannigan, which definitely holds a very special place in my heart. |
|
|
Phil Palmer (FDR) - I get to play the President of the United States. I have never done a role like this and it is a lot of fun. Brooke Zerger (Hooverville, Annette, Usherette): I blame my grandmother for getting me started in theatre. She took me to see "Cats" when I was very young and I decided that I wanted to be on stage too. My first adventure into the world of acting and singing was in 2002 in Cambridge Preforming Arts Centre's production of "Heidi." I have since participated in two other shows there, along with two at the Living Word outdoor amphitheater. While in high school, I was a member of the drama club where we were only able to put on two full shows. Noble County Preforming Arts, however, was a different story. I was a four year participant in the annual variety show, and my favorite part so far was in our most recent show, "Magical Wishes," where I played Princess Ariel. I am absolutely thrilled to be getting back into organized theatre with ZCT's production of "Annie." |

Kevin McCarthy loves, LOVES, L-O-V-E-S summertime! The schools are out, vacation time, swimming pools open – I love summertime for many reasons. But I most look forward to being free so that I can participate in a summer community theater production. . . and here at ZCT that usually means a musical in which I can enjoy taking part. This is a hard knock summer putting the show together- but it’s awesome fun! We all hope you enjoy the shimmer, the pulse, the beat, the drive – of “ANNIE!” |

Sheryl Wise (Musical Direction) - “Annie” has always been one of my favorite shows. Great music, good family story, opportunity for many actors to have fun roles, kids, and a dog too! Our family has a long standing history with this show. Along with my sister- who is my favorite Annie-I have been involved in eleven different productions of the show. In fact, what makes my life sunny is to enjoy the magic of community theater with my family and friends. Even Ginger, our family dog now long in doggie heaven, was involved as she played the role of Sandy in many of the productions. Our current production has been a delight. I have so enjoyed working with our cast and crew to bring the show to life. In my life other than at ZCT, I am the technology coordinator at Franklin Local School District and the organist for Market Street Baptist Church. I am the president of the board for ZCT and for American Baptist Women of Ohio and also serve on the boards of Zanesville Memorial Concert Band and the Zanesville Concert Association. Smile, darn ya smile! |

Jillian B. Von Gunten (Choregrapher) – Yes! It happened! After more or less a two year absence, Jillian is back home at ZCT, even if it is only for the summer. Jillian just finished her second year of law school at Capital University Law School and while she appreciates the intellectual challenge, she misses ZCT and its creative outlet very much indeed. Annie represented a summertime opportunity for Jillian to return to her creative roots while still pursuing her legal education during business hours by working as a legal assistant. In short, when the opportunity came her way, she couldn’t say, “no!” Before entering law school, Jillian spent large portions of her life at ZCT with roles both onstage and off, and even serving on ZCT’s Board of Directors. Her favorite roles include: Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Alais in The Lion in Winter, and Shelby in Steel Magnolias. Some of her favorite shows to direct were: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), HONK!, and The Mystery of Irma Vep. When thinking about what makes her tomorrow sunny, Jillian responds: The people in my life! I have been so blessed with such a wonderful support system – family and dear, dear friends – who have propelled me through dark times and made happy times even more a joy! Much like Annie learns, we are all given a wonderful group of people to love and support us and to make tomorrow a better day! |
