Molly Fischer is at a crossroads in her young life. Searching for a career and in a dead-end relationship, the luck of the Irish is just what she needs. The play opens on St. Patrick’s Day as Molly delivers good news to her bad news boyfriend that her long-lost uncle has willed her his pub in Donegal, Ireland. She jumps at the chance to have her own restaurant and start anew. Quickly does she find out that no good deed goes unpunished. The pub is in massive tax debt and she has thirty days to raise the money, or lose her newfound opportunity and disappoint the townspeople. Only faced with such sudden adversity does Molly find inner strength and what is truly important in life.

The play takes place in a pub in the remote, fictitious village of Ballycorn, county of Donegal, Ireland. Our leading lady is an American fish out of water in her 20s. The cast of characters that inhabit the pub are: Mary (50+) postmistress and village busybody; Derrick (60s) the town drunk, or is he?; Paddy (60s-70s) the silent yet expressive pub regular; John the barman (50s) full of wit and wisdom; and Connor/Tanner (20’s), a unique double role as the American boyfriend, and the young Irish admirer. The play promises humor and heart, with audiences constantly captivated by what might happen next
