As I begin my third term as President, and Zanesville Community Theatre opens its 48^th season, I would ask, as RENT asks the musical question, "Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes. How do you measure, measure a year?"  This year promises to measure up to many previous years as far as the variety of shows offered and the quality of productions.  Zanesville Community Theatre enjoys a reputation for its quality productions. I attribute this, in part, to our audiences. Zanesville Community Theatre audiences are very loyal and very supportive and have grown accustomed to, and expect top notch, quality productions and for that, we are most appreciative.  Your dedication has made us strive for quality against a backdrop of tradition.

I look forward to not only this season and all that it promises but also to beginning preparation for our fast approaching 50^th season. The Board of Directors of ZCT is a very dedicated group of volunteers who are working very diligently to make strategic plans to assure that this great organization is viable and maintained for many, many future generations.  Please let your Board of Directors know how much you appreciate their hard work and dedication.

Zanesville Community Theatre is a common place for those of us who share a love for the performing arts, a haven where we test our own talents, applaud those of our friends, or simply enjoy the live staging of an entertaining story. Even with the challenges of a tough economy, Zanesville Community Theatre is committed to offering high-quality live productions at affordable prices. I believe that in difficult times, the arts provide a much needed distraction, not only for audiences but also for those involved. Community theatre is often seen as adding to the social benefit of the community, in that it develops the skills, community spirit and dramatic sensibilities of those involved, not to mention that it is just plain fun!

With all of this said,  I  want to welcome you to Zanesville Community Theatre and hope that you enjoy the show and make plans to return for future shows.
