Matt Harper (Anthony Hope) - I have
always looked up to the role of Anthony..... meaning my older brother Anthony,
and now I am honored to be playing the role of Anthony in Sweeney Todd. I have
enjoyed rehearsing and meeting this new cast, it is a very talented cast to work
with. I have enjoyed playing Anthony in ZCT's production of Sweeny Todd and hope
everyone else enjoys the show as much as I do. I am no stranger to the stage in fact Sweeny will mark my 46th show and 3rd show with ZCT. Some of my favorite roles have been.... Roger(RENT), Jean Valjean(Les Miserable), Danny(Grease), Billy(Anything Goes) and Cliff(cabaret). Now I will add Sweeney as one of my favorites. I would like to thank all my friends and family for their on going support. |
| Cindy
Houpt (Beggar Woman) - Warning! There’s a new “kid” in town…well, in
Newark anyhow. Originally from northern Ohio, Cindy is “back home in Ohio”,
after spending nearly ten years living in Shelbyville, Indiana. While in
Indiana, Cindy embraced many opportunities to become involved with the local
performing arts community. An Echocardiographer by trade, she rediscovered her
love for singing and acting while participating in all things theatrical.
Although Cindy enjoys acting, dancing, directing, writing, props, costumes, back
stage, lights, sound, blah, blah, blah,… her passion is singing. Having been a
guest vocalist for two Big Bands in Indiana (singing “oldies, but goodies” from
the Big Band Era), she is currently on the prowl for an Ohio Big Band in need of
a songstress. Heck, she will even put on a her best sequined evening gown, and
style her hair in a mass of pin curls and finger waves just to get the gig! Comedic roles are primarily where you will find Cindy, but she has thoroughly enjoyed developing the complexities of The Beggar Woman and has added this role to her list of favorites. She is amazed at the depth of talent in this production and is tickled pink to have had the chance to perform with this cast and crew. Cindy lives in Newark with her husband, Ron, and their youngest daughter, Sarah. She has three adult daughters, two (soon to be three) sons-in-law, and two adorable grandsons, Luke and Preston. |
