Allison Baughman (Korean Child) - Allison Baughman is 9 years old and attends Crooksville Schools. Allison is a born performer and followed her sister, Katelyn, onto the stage at ZCT for the first time when she was just 4 years old, for an Angel Tree Benefit. Allison has since appeared in four more Angel Tree Benefit shows, and has played the part of a mouse for ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, dressed and played the part of the Christmas Tree for “I’m a Little Christmas Tree,” and most recently played the part of the little girl who wanted to be a ‘real’ elf. Allison played a chick as a member of the chorus in ZCT’s production of HONK!, performed a solo and the lead part of ‘Freddy the Frog’ in Crooksville Schools 2011 Spring Program “Once Upon a Lily Pad,” and played the role of orphan Tessie in ZCT’s 2011 production of Annie. Allison is honored to be one of such a small number of children cast in M*A*S*H. She is enjoying the challenges this show has presented for her as an actor … while her previous roles have matched her smiley, ornery nature, her role as a young Korean child in the midst of war has required her to portray characteristics she doesn’t often display such as being frightened and scared. Allison wishes to thank Sheryl Wise for casting her, Jan Kikka for costuming her, and most especially Carmin Farnsworth, for appearing in this show for her on Sundays when she is needed at cheer competitions with her ZGA Rockets Squad. |

Brooke Zerger (Lt. Louise Kimble) - I blame my grandmother for getting me started in theatre. She took me to see "Cats" when I was very young and I decided that I wanted to be on stage too. My first adventure into the world of acting and singing was in 2002 in Cambridge Preforming Arts Centre's production of "Heidi." I have since participated in two other shows there, along with two at the Living Word outdoor amphitheater. While in high school, I was a member of the drama club where we were only able to put on two full shows. Noble County Preforming Arts, however, was a different story. I was a four year participant in the annual variety show. Most recently I took part in ZCT's production of "Annie." MASH has been a fantastic experience, though I'm still working on keeping a straight face when I shouldn't be laughing at what's going on around me. |

Carmin Farnsworth (Korean Child) - Carmin is four years old. This Spring, she will complete her second year of preschool and has also been taking gymnastics classes for almost two years. She is a typical girl, loves all things pink, purple & red, and wants to be an artist when she grows up. This is Carmin’s first theater experience, but she certainly hopes to have additional opportunities to perform in the future. |

David Kerr
(Captain John Black) - I grew up watching and loving the TV show M*A*S*H.
That coupled with the fact that I’m from a military family, (my grandfather and
father were in the Army, my brother was in the Navy, and I retired after 20
years in the Air Force) I couldn’t resist the opportunity to perform in this
show. This is my fifth show here at ZCT in the past 2 ˝ years and I keep coming
back because of the great people and the quality of the productions. I’m excited
to portray the role of Capt. John “Ugly” Black, an Australian surgeon, because
it gives me the chance to use an accent that I haven’t tried before. For my non-theatrical life, I work for the City of Zanesville in the Engineering Department as a construction inspector. I’ve been married to my wonderful wife, Rita, for 28 years. We have four children ranging in age from 24 to 14 and I’m proud to say that our eldest son is currently serving as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army, keeping our family tradition of military service alive. I hope you enjoy watching the show as much as we enjoy presenting it! |

Jan Smith
(General Hamilton Harrington Hammond) - M*A*S*H. The book… The movie...
The TV series…and now the play. To me, all look at war (any war) in a very
serial and sometimes abstract way. This play gives me cause to look and think
back on my own and my family’s military service. So, rather than talk about my personal history in theater, I would like to take this opportunity to simply say a gracious and humble thank you to the wonderful and brave men and women who have and who are at this time serving this great country. May God bless them, their families, and God Bless America! Enjoy the play. |

Jane Ann Perry (Korean Woman, Major Ruth Haskell) - If you are retired and haven't the funds or desire to travel, Community theater is a good alternative and terrorists aren't making us a target. You meet interesting people, and challenge your mind. I am amazed at the maturity of todays young people. It is almost as much fun as dancing. |

Jillian
Von Gunten (Miss Randazzle) - Despite what you may think, Jillian is
not actually here. Jillian is actually feverishly studying in her cramped, but
cozy, apartment in Columbus and thanks to the miracle of hologram
technology...Ok. Actually, Jillian is here, but only barely. Jillian is in her
third (and final!) year at Capital University Law School and is a mere few
months from graduation. She is appearing in the show because she owed someone a
favor or muttered, "Sure," without really listening to the question, we aren't
certain which, but she is pleased the cast has been so kind, despite her erratic
schedule. Before entering law school, Jillian spent large portions of her life
at ZCT with roles both onstage and off, and even serving on ZCT’s Board of
Directors. Her favorite roles include: Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Alais in
The Lion in Winter, and Shelby in Steel Magnolias. Some of her favorite shows to
direct were: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), HONK!, and
The Mystery of Irma Vep. Despite her tongue in cheek bio, Jillian sincerely
hopes you enjoy the show - the dedication and hard work of the cast and crew are
tremendous. |

Joe
Sprague (Corporal “Radar” Reily) - I enjoy playing the role as Radar
in MASH. I have previously played in Witness for the Prosecution, and Seussical the musical at Philo high school. I am an active member of the swim team at Rosecrans high school. I enjoy drinking fresh coconut milk, and taking long walks along the beach. I hope to further my experience at ZCT as the year goes on. |

John
Shivers (Father John Patrick Mulchay) - He has been involved in
theatre for over 45 years. He has been on stage, backstage and in the pit,
playing for many musicals. He has worked all facets of the theatre; set, props,
make-up and hair, costumes and more. As Father Mulcahy, he would like to “Bless
You All and have a safe trip home.” |
![]() |
Kara Kelly
(Captain Bridget McCarthy) - I am enjoying my role as Captain Bridget
McCarthy in M*A*S*H. I have watched every single episode of the sitcom via a DVD
collection and rerun on television. I am sure this has helped me prepare for the
role. I love doing comedies, and was last seen in "The Odd Couple-Female
Version" as Mickey the cop. |

Katelyn Baughman (Korean Child) - Katelyn Baughman is 10 years old and attends Crooksville Schools. She’s had a love of singing and performing from the age of 18 months, and did her first solo performance in church at age 2˝. At age 5, Katelyn had her first theatre experience as a member of the chorus in Fiddler on the Roof. She has since participated in six ZCT/Renner Angel Tree Benefits, played the part of Downy in ZCT’s production of HONK, and played her favorite part yet of Annie in ANNIE at ZCT in 2011. Katelyn has also performed solos in three school programs at Crooksville, and in the last couple of years, provided singing performances for the Genesis Diabetes Program, the Genesis Heart Banquet, for Cedar Hills, and for a United Way Benefit at the Muskingum County Library. Katelyn is a member of Power House and participates in the Junior Sparks Improv Program, and she is a student of Kachido Aikijitsu. Katelyn is also currently preparing for her role as the Magic Mirror in The Renner’s upcoming production of Fairy Tale Courtroom. Katelyn is so grateful to Director Sheryl Wise for casting her in ZCT’s production of M*A*S*H. She thinks this show is A*W*E*S*O*M*E! |

Kelli
Marsh (Korean Woman #2, Fritzi) - Kelli spent her childhood in South
Africa where she began acting and dancing in school and church plays. She loved
the performance, so naturally when her family moved to California, she joined
the drama department in high school where she acting in and become choreographer
for “The Sound of Music.” She spent several years traveling and doing humanitarian work that also included acting and eventually led her into directing which she took with her when she became an elementary school teacher. She joined ZCT a few years ago and helped in her first play, “Noises Off,” as the Stage Manager. She then went on to act the part of Sylvie in the female version of “The Odd Couple.” Kelli lives in New Concord and says that she has the best job in the world in being a wife and a-stay-at-home-mom to her very loving and soon-to-be three year old baby girl. |

Kevin
McCarthy (General Hamilton Harrington Hammond (2nd Sat Only)) - I
have big shoes to fill as I understudy in the absence of Jan Smith. I just wish
I had a bigger hat to fill as well! I suppose this only proves that those who
have called me "Thickhead" knew something I am just now discovering... I am
honored to be part of this production and dedicate my performance to my dad,
uncles and all the brave men and women and their families of the US military. |
![]() | Kendra
Wagner (Congresswoman Goldfarb, Lt. Connie Liebowitz) - This is
Kendra’s first theater experience and is happy to be a part of this
production. She is employed by American Nursing Care as a Case Manager RN.
In her free time, she enjoys hunting, fishing and enjoying the company of
her two four-legged children, Hank and Dixie. |
![]() | Laurel
Dubeck (Major Margaret Houlihan) - is a 15 year resident of
Zanesville, having done community theater for 35 years both in Zanesville
and Cambridge. In her theater experience, Laurel has been part of the stage
crew, run lights, help build sets, assisted with costumes, been in the
chorus, choreographed, and has had leading roles and many supporting roles.
A very quiet person by nature, Laurel relishes the opportunity to delve into
character parts and live vicariously through these wonderful characters.
Laurel lives with her husband of 40 years, Paul, and their two furry babies,
Thelma and Louise. |
![]() | Maggie
Nussbaum (Dean Mercy Lodge, Nurse) - Although I was certain when
I was very young that I wanted to perform in theater productions when I was older, I never pursued a path that fulfilled this goal. However, in my career as an elementary teacher, I turned every possible learning experience into an acting opportunity for myself or the students. Finally, many years later, I am taking my first baby steps onto the stage in this production of M*A*S*H. |
![]() | Matt
McNabb (Sergeant Devine) - Matt is a senior at Philo High School
where he is involved in band, choir, and drama. He has been in many shows at PHS as well as at ZCT. After M*A*S*H he will be portraying P.T. Barnum in PHS’s musical later this spring.in April. |
![]() | Monica Van Nort (Lt. Nancy Phillips) - My family and I moved to Zanesville from Kentucky in 2006. My first experience in community theatre was in 2009 when I was offered the role of Truvy in ZCT’s Steele Magnolias. I had an absolute blast and have been involved in theatre as much as I can ever since. Other roles include Grace Bradley in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Miss Forsythe in Death of a Salesman, Belinda/Flavia in Noises Off, and in Annie I played Sophie, Mrs. Pugh, the Sound Woman. I also participated in ZCT’s Angel Tree 2011. Most recently I played the role of Rose O’Grady McGuire with the Zanesville Barbershop Harmony Society. I grew up watching MASH with my dad and while I didn’t really get the humor and quality of the show as a child I can definitely appreciate it today and was quite excited when I saw that ZCT was running this play. I would like to dedicate this performance to my dad, who was a huge fan of MASH the television show. |
![]() | Pam
Smith (Lt. Janice Fury) - I have been involved in theater since
high school. Backstage, onstage, big parts, little parts, indoors, outdoors, and I always have fun. Fun meeting new friends. Fun reacquainting with old ones. Dancing, singing, painting, sweeping, whatever is needed and M*A*S*H is just the latest in my growing list of fond theatrical memories. |
![]() | Paul
Palmer (Private Lopez) - I am a 15 year old homeschooled
sophomore. I have been in Ladies of the Sacred South and Oliver! before
appearing in M.A.S.H. When I am not at the theater practicing, I am at Boy
Scouts or Bible Bowl or at church at North Terrace doing fun things with the
youth. I also love playing video games and walking my dog Tiny. I am having
a lot of fun being a part of this cast and hope everyone likes the show. |
![]() | Phil
Palmer (Lt. Col. Henry Braymore Blake) - I am playing Lt. Colonel
Henry Braymore Blake. This part was more fun than I could ever want. When
you think of Henry you think of a country bumpkin who just happened to be in
the Army and in charge of a rag-tag group of doctors and nurses who are
trying to save the lives of soldiers in the Korean conflict. I really enjoy
this part and hope you do as well. In my real life I am a social worker who
works with homeless veterans in Columbus and I really enjoy spending time in
the theater. |
![]() | Scott
Robinson (Captain Walter Waldowski) - has returned to the theater
after a 14 year absence. He and his wife Michelle moved back to Zanesville
after living 9 years in Las Vegas. Scott has recently performed in To Kill A
Mocking Bird, Willy Wonka, and most recently Jesus Christ Superstar at the
Renner. M*A*S*H is Scott's first show at Zanesville Community Theatre. |
![]() | Sean
McClure (Captain Frank Burns, Captain Oliver Wendell Jones) -
Sean has been in many shows at ZCT. Some favorites have been “Honk”, “The
Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged)”, and “Next Fall”. He will be playing the part of Pirelli in ZCT’s presentation of “Sweeney Todd” i |
![]() | Steve
Campbell (Captain Benjamin Franklin Pierce (Hawkeye)) - Steve is
a recent addition to the ZCT family, having had previous roles at Zane Trace
Players and Licking County Players. Having worked back and front stage, he
has found a love and passion for theater. This is also his second time under
the direction of Sheryl Wise, having played Mushnik in Little Shop of
Horrors. Playing Hawkeye Pierce is an honor and real treat for him, and his
favorite production to date. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his daughter, golf, and electronics. He is employed by both Always Sunny Carpet Cleaning and Biggie’s Used Autos. |
![]() | Steve
Stewart (Captain Duke Forest) - Like the groundhog, once a year I
make my way out of my burrow and seek the bright light in the sky. Well,
more like the spotlight of the stage. This year seeing my shadow means 6
more laugh filled shows! I will take shows over snows any day. From the movie M*A*S*H to the long running TV series, M*A*S*H is one of my favorite smile shows. This version of M*A*S*H as a stage production offers actors a chance to work together in a show about people working together. It may seem like an ordinary acting exercise but, the chemistry of this show makes each actor see and feel that truly human desire to make even the worst of places home. The many ways that all of the lives of the characters blend together like a fully functional, dis-functional family, is a reflection of just how human we all can be. I hope that you enjoy the art and craft of all of the performers on stage tonight. It has been an honor for me to have a chance to work with everyone in this huge mish MASH of characters. But most of all I hope you find that it was worth your crawling out of your burrow to see! |
![]() | Sue Barzda (Mitzi, Assistant Director) - am enjoying this M*A*S*H production as Mitzi and as assistant director; we have a very skilled production team and a talented cast. I have been in theatre for over 30 years, played many characters (too numerous to name them all), and played clarinet &/or sax in the pit for more than 6 local theatres. Currently I am Secretary on the Ohio Community Theatre State Board, and I play clarinet in several local bands. I am a manager at Cambridge Developmental Center, where I work with adults who have developmental disabilities. I'm looking forward to playing clarinet for the upcoming Sweeney Todd production. |
![]() | Zack
Devoll (Private Boone) - is a freshman at Zanesville High School.
He has been in numerous musicals and plays such as "You're A Good Man,
Charlie Brown, "Guys and Dolls", and Charlotte's Web. He plays trumpet in
marching band and symphony, and sings tenor in choir. He also participates
in drama at ZHS. He is glad to have made so many new friends with M*A*S*H. |

She has also served on the theater board and is currently the president. Some of her favorite onstage roles include The Reverend Mother in several productions from the “Nunsensation” series, M’Lynn in “Steel Magnolias”, and Ronnette in “Little Shop of Horrors”.
