Kelli Marsh (Sylvie) Kelli spent her childhood in South Africa where she began acting and dancing in school and church plays. She loved the performance, so naturally when her family moved to California, she joined the drama department in high school where she acting in and become choreographer for The Sound of Music. She spent several years traveling and doing humanitarian work that also included acting and eventually led her into directing which she took with her when she became an elementary school teacher. She joined ZCT this year and helped in her first play, Noises Off, as the Stage Manager. Kelli lives in New Concord and says that she has the best job in the world in being a wife and a-stay-at-home-mom to her twenty month old baby girl.
Kara K. Kelly (Mickey) - After 16 years of life interrupting, I’m back! Musical theater is my first love. I’ve enjoyed roles in Finian’s Rainbow, Anything Goes, Come Blow Your Horn, Carousel, Annie, Show Boat, I Remember Mama, Babes in Toyland, South Pacific, Cinderella, The Sound of Music, A Little Night Music and Barnum. I also enjoyed roles in comedies including Harvey and Subject to Change. I’m just as comfortable working behind the scenes while stage managing, working on sets, sound and lighting. My favorite quote is from Shakespeare; “If music be the food of love, play on”.
Mollie Kennedy-Campbell, V.L (Renee) My amazing musical and theatrical family spawned my love for music and laughter. Splendid timing for an apprenticeship of working with and learning from the best of the best;   The Cambridge Community Theater was where I recognized my auspicious theater passion.  My heart bursts with appreciation to many very special people including Don Mercer, Jim Seevers, Maury Kenily ( Zanesville ), and Rosa Terranova.   One of the many highlights of that “community theater era” was the year our “Unsinkable Molly Brown” company was invited to perform 4 shows at the Ohio State Fair!  It was all in the best of times!

My theater home for the past 30+ years has been the Cambridge Performing Arts Center where from actress to co-stage manager; director to assistant choregrapher with Laurel DuBeck, my last CPAC performances were the Fairy Godmother in “Cinderella,” and Mother Superior Mary Regina in “Nunsense”, directed by Zanesville native Joe Porter.

Mollie is a grandmother of two “grand boys” – Evan and Colin.  She is a student at the Cambridge Martial Arts Studio; is working on her Reiki II Classification and is employed by Area Agency on Aging, Region 9, Inc in Byesville , Ohio .

Jane Ann Perry (Vera) - Goals for my old age: Avoid memory loss. Make new friends. Try to remember everything. Have fun. Dodge Alzheimer's. Dance every chance I get. Always try out for comedies. Did I mention don’t lose my mind? Oh, and laugh a lot. Out loud whenever possible. Remember where you put your keys and where you took your shoes off.
Laurel DuBeck (Olive) has been doing Community theater for many years (over 30) in both Cambridge and Zanesville…from leading roles to working back stage (the only way to learn all about the theater!). Laurel lives in Zanesville with her husband, Paul, and babies Thelma and Louise. Aside from the furry babies, Laurel has three children and four grandchildren. Of the part of Olive, Laurel states, “What a fun role! And the other women in this production are spot-on for their characters. This will be a funny, entertaining show with something for everyone.”
Eileen Adams (Florence) - Eileen is delighted to return to the stage after a long absence! She has directed plays at East Muskingum Middle School for the past 10 years, but has also acted in and/or directed probably close to 100 shows in all for Zanesville, Cambridge, New Concord, church, radio, college and high school productions. Some of her favorite shows, in addition to The Odd Couple include Private Lives, You Can’t Take it With You, Love, Sex and the IRS, 6 Rms Riv Vu, and Relatively Speaking. Eileen is a communications and theater graduate of Muskingum University and has enjoyed acting in several alumni productions, too, including the role of Annie Glenn in The Annie Glenn Story. She has worked for her family’s business, Resource Systems in New Concord, for 25 years. She and her husband, Greg, have two daughters, Chelsea and Clare, in college in Maryland and Rhode Island. Born and raised near Pittsburgh, Eileen calls New Concord home, but still roots for the Steelers!
John Lowe (Manolo) A writer from Guernsey County, John currently serves as a reporter for The Daily Jeffersonian. He acted in a variety of plays during school and, later, in a California production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. As an avid social dancer, in his spare time, he enjoys searching out venues that offer music suitable for Latin and ballroom dances such as the salsa, the waltz and the swing. John was born in Scioto County, but grew up in Zanesville. He now lives near Cambridge with his wife, Deborah, and their son, Sean, a seventh-grade student at East Muskingum Middle School. They also have two grown children: Eric, a technical writer in Columbus, and Nicole, a graduate student at Stanford University.
Phil Palmer (Jesus) Phil Palmer has been a part of the Zanesville Community Theater for a short time.  I have been involved in Church productions, many Boy Scout Camp events, but theater is relatively new.  I have always liked being “on stage” with roles that stretched me.  This role is one that is fun to do while learning how to talk with a Castilian Spanish accent.  I have been in several shows in the past few seasons, such as: Death of a Salesman, J.B., A Murder is Announced, Honk, and The Ladies of the Sacred South.  I have also worked with shows from the Zane Trace Players and Cambridge Performing Arts Center.  I hope to continue with community theater as long as my schedule allows as I am also involved in Church and Boy Scouts.  In my real life I am a social worker in Columbus , OH working with homeless veterans in a shelter.  I am married with 3 kids and I am blessed that my family loves theater as much, if not more, than I do.

Production Staff

Sheryl Wise (Director) - has been involved with Zanesville Community Theatre for a hundred million years back  when the dinosaurs were still around—AKA 1980. During these many years I have directed, served on the board, acted, built sets, and cleaned the bathrooms--so in simple terms, I am passionate about theater and bringing the arts to our community. In my day job, I am the technology coordinator for Franklin Local Schools. This year I also get to act up during the day while I teach the General Theater class at Philo High School. While this makes for crazy day, it really fits my personality to a tee. I love new challenges and it certainly isn’t boring! I remember watching the TV show “The Odd Couple” as a kid and how it could be funny and a poignant study in human relationships all at the same time. I am excited to have the opportunity to bring this Neil Simon classic to our stage.  Besides, I have always loved playing Trivial Pursuit.
Nancy Hynds (Producer) has been on a bit of a hiatus’ from theater, after 20+ years of many, many shows in many different roles on stage and behind the scenes. The last few years she has been in touch with occasional stints as producer, a character, lighting assistant, or box office help. Now she has teamed up with her BFF to assist with this production. The cast is wonderful and fun to work with. The backstage people are helpful and great to be around. So sit back, relax and enjoy the hilarity and camaraderie this show brings
