The Weird Sisters
Terri Kenney
Sheila Cochran - This is Sheila's debut on stage in Zanesville.  She comes to us from neighboring Cambridge where she has performed several times on stage at the Cambridge Performing Arts Center. Her favorite role was as Amanda Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie. She's also performed as Marmee in Little Women, Mrs.Cratchitt in A Christmas Carol, and as the mother turned play director in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.  Social work has been Sheila's profession, yet performing is her merriment!
Julia Free - This is Julia's sixth show with ZCT. After participating in last spring's The complete works of William Shakespeare (abridged), the opportunity to do 'Real Shakespeare' was greatly appealing. She hopes the audience enjoys what she considers to be a truly thrilling performance of Shakespeare's legendary tragedy.
Daniel J. Von Gunten ( King Duncan) I am the father of the director and her sole means of support. Jillian loves to tell people that she is a poor starving college student. Jill is a college student. Poor and Starving. The jury is still out on that charge. Need I say more? I think I will. This bio is supposed to be about me, not the director. She has her own soapbox. I have been involved in community theater for some 30 years. My loving and respectful daughter did cast me in several roles in this play however none of them are based in any way, shape, or form on my talent and years of experience! Dad auditioned and Dad got parts. Is nepotism alive and well in Zanesville Community Theatre? Yes and No.  I am killed off in the first act; next time you see me as a murderer of women and children; then a doddering old dude, and finally I get killed off again because I am on the losing side of the battle. Oh well, at my age good roles are hard to come by, so I will take what parts I can get.

I hope you enjoy the Scottish Play. Don't say the name, it's bad luck, you know. Your basement will flood or your mother-in-law will come for a visit and never leave.

Sean McClure (Malcolm)
Kevin Lucas (Donalbain) I recently had the chance to explore the comical side of Macbeth and several other William Shakespeare plays in "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged" (TCWOWSA). This show, done right is a complete 180 from TCWOWSA (with the exception of the part of the porter). It nice to explore the serious side of one of Willies great tragedies, Though many of our rehearsals seemed like I was still in TCWOWSA. This show makes a perfect Halloween show for everyone, Sword fights, Bloody apparitions, and Witches is enough to put everyone on the edge of there seats. Through Language, Action and Special Effects, we will the you into to the world of William Shakespeare.
Dan Brown (Ross)
Eric Blake (Angus) - Eric has been involved in theatre for many years. He loves being involved either on stage or working behind the scenes. It was instilled in him at an early age that it is just as important to know set construction and other technical aspects of theatre as well as developing acting skills. Eric has been involved with ZCT for several years where he is currently President of the Board of Directors. He feels that it is so important to give back to our community, and being involved with ZCT affords him that opportunity whether by nurturing young talent and providing them a safe place to learn and have a good time or by fund raising to help provide a much needed boost to those in need.

Eric enjoys directing as well as being on stage. He most recently directed The Lion In Winter at Zanesville Community Theatre and is currently directing Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. He is also proud to say that he was part of the ensemble cast of The Laramie Project. One of his most favorite roles was Clarence the Angel in Its A Wonderful Life. Other shows Eric has been involved in recently include: Our Town , Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up, and Something’s Afoot.

Shelley Tolliver (Caithness) I'm very excited to dive into the Shakespearean realm as a guy. What an opportunity to step out of the "fairer sex" and kick some butt! (Sword fighting is an opportunity that gals don't get often enough.) It's also a challenge in character study - not only do I get to construct a persona, but in doing so, I have to adopt the physicalities of the male species - strong, bold and certain. It is an interesting experience to step out of "girls don't do that" line of thinking - guys are free to grab life by the horns any way they can.
In the real world - even though I still consider myself a tom-boy, I'm a gal with all the trappings. I love hats, shoes, chocolate and my husband, Rich (Banquo.) (not necessarily in that order ;-) ) When not being a tourist with my husband, I enjoy time spent with friends and family or listening to books on tape while drawing in my studio.
I hope you enjoy this production and thank you for supporting the arts here at Zanesville Community Theatre.
Philip Palmer (Lennox)
Tony Palmer (Menteith)
Brian Wagner (MacbethThis is Brian’s first show at ZCT… in about ten years. Originally from Cincinnati , Brian is a graduate of Muskingum College and works at WHIZ. He met his wife Christine, 15 years ago while doing a show here at Zanesville Community Theatre. They now have two wonderful children, Matt and Lizzie.
Rich Tolliver (Banquo) A theater veteran at ZCT Rich most often finds himself sitting in the directors seat - some of his favorite shows include Grace and Glorie, Steel Magnolias, Fiddler on the Roof and his most recent production Visiting Mr. Green.

His passion is the Annual Angel Tree Benefit where the community comes together to help those in need. He heads up a group of volunteers to put on a show where all the funds raised (from ticket donations and raffle sales) goes directly to help the needy families of the Salvation Army's Angel Tree (now called the Giving Tree Program). It is also an opportunity for not only families of any economic station to come and enjoy a Christmas show together, but it's a chance for members of the community to join together and make a difference in the lives of others.
Amy Underwood (Lady Macbeth) I have been given the opportunity to appear in quite a few of Shakespeare's plays in characters as varied as Kate in The Taming of the Shrew, the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, and Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream. The opportunity to bring Lady MacBeth to ZCT's stage is both exciting and a little frightening. The characters in this play are, for the most part, so intensely focused on their goals that their energy levels must be such that they reach out and grab the audience. The fact that these people, although based on historical figures, were largely created in the mind of a brilliant playwright nearly five hundred years ago, is what really attracts me to performances of Shakespeare's work today.

Bruce Revennaugh (Macduff)
Logan Gaddis (FleanceI am a rather new addition to the Zanesville Community Theater family. The acting bug bit me during my performance in the 2007 Angel Tree production. Now, I am honored to be a part of Macbeth. I have several roles in this production. I am Fleance ( Banquo’s son), one of the Macduff children and the Third Apparition. My favorite role is that of Fleance. I get to hold the sword and I am involved in a fight scene, what could be better? I have had a great time rehearsing and can’t wait for everyone to see the show! Happy Halloween…

Sheryl Wise (Lady Macduff) After returning to ZCT’s stage last spring in “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged”, I felt that I should at least legitimize my Shakespearean experience by participating in the real thing. The role of Lady MacDuff is perfect since I can still participate and keep up with all of my other life responsibilities. I am currently the choreographer for “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” with Licking County Players, the musical director for ZCT’s  annual Angel Tree Benefit, and the musical director for ZCT’s “Honk” which will be presented in the spring of 2009. I serve on the board of ZCT as well the boards for Ohio American Baptist Women, Zanesville Memorial Concert Band, and Zanesville Concert Association. I pay the bills by working for Franklin Local Schools as their technology coordinator and Market Street Baptist Church as organist.  In my spare time I am also the drama director at Philo High School. With all of that…it is probably good that I am only in one scene! It has been a fun challenge to learn lines in the Bard’s famous iambic pentameter.  As actors we get inspiration from Hamlet, Act 3, Scene 2-- “Speak the speech, I pray, as I pronounced it to you—trippingly on the tongue.” As a cast I hope we inspire our audience to continue to support the arts!
