Cast and Crew Bios - A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
(in order of appearance)

Pseudolus - Rich Tolliver is a long time theater veteran. "Over half a lifetime in either very dim or very bright lights." His experience ranges from writing, directing, acting, set design & building, past theater president, etc. "The performances are the icing on 'the cake'; the process is where the fun lies."
Protean - Dan Brown This marks the end of Dan Brown’s first season here at Zanesville Community Theater. He’s done three shows this season, portraying Bill Humphries in “84 Charing Cross Road”, Charlie Blossom in “Working”, and participating in the annual Christmas benefit show. He also enjoys doing film work with his buddies, and helping out at Maysville High School, where he graduated in ’04. Next season, Dan will be co-directing “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.” Dan invites people to come watch the rookie in action.
Off stage, Dan is in what many call a transitional period. Having no idea what to do with his life, Dan sticks close to one thing he has passion for, theater. “It’s been nothing but respect. Everyone here has been supportive and coached me through the insanity that is ZCT.”
Protean - Jon Geyer appears in his fourth show at ZCT, his last role being "Lamar" in Godspell, which happens to be one of his all-time favorite shows. He is a recent graduate of Otterbein College, and is currently seeking employment, apart from his current occupation of "Sleeper Extrodinaire". Jon would like to say to the audience, "Life is a garden; dig it."
Protean Ryan Swingle is pleased to be performing in my first show with the ZCT, and let me tell you, the people here are going to keep me coming back for more. I started my theatre career two years ago taking on the role of 'Ezekiel Cheever' in Arthur Miller's "The Crucible", a role of which I fell into. I've also been seen as 'Mortimer' in "Death of a Doornail", 'Mr. Johnson' and head of set construction in "Bye Bye Birdie", 'Dracula' in, of course, "Dracula", and most recently assistant director for the musical "Anything Goes!". My other hobbies consist of guitar playing, song writing, and poetry. I'd like to thank our director Jacob Hauser for casting me into this fabulous show and into a new theatre. Thanks for coming out, we all appreciate it.
Senex - Roger Touvell has appeared in many shows for zct-the fantastiks, one flew over the cuckoos nest, big river, and working, to name a few of his favorites. He jumped at the chance to be in forum under the direction of Jacob Hauser. Lots of great friends in the cast as well.
Domina - Amy P. Underwood became re-involved in theatre this past year, after an extended absence of about ten years, and Forum will be the 40th+ show in which I have appeared. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself, working with all the wonderful people in the Forum company.
Thanks to all of you out there who have supported ZCT’s fund-raising drive to air-condition our building. We owe our ability to have a mid-summer performance to your generosity!
Hysterium - David Rice has performed in two previous shows here at ZCT. In the 2004 Angel Tree I played an angel, and in the recent production Baker's Dozen I played a homosexual. Now, rounding out the resume nicely, I get to play a slave! In my "real life" I have recently completed my education to become a biology teacher and am beating down doors to gain employment. Enjoy the show.
Hero - Olie Coen  is returning to the ZCT stage as Hero after having appeared in a plethora of shows. recognize Olie as the Spanish speaking bagger boy from "Working". In his spare time, he enjoys reading, playing Nintendo, and losing what little money he has to Jon Geyer while playing poker. Olie says, "I hope you let the laughter flow, and enjoy the show."
Lycus - Sam Wilmoth "Forum" is Sam's third performance at ZCT. Prior to that, he appeared in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "Ten Little Indians". He also directed "Sex Without Pliers" written by Robert Leland Taylor (Erronius). "This show has been a blast," Sam said. "I really get to camp it up and be as ridiculous as I can be as Marcus Lycus." A resident of Cambridge, Sam has been active in community theater for the past five years at the Cambridge Performing Arts Centre, having directed, performed and produced over fifteen shows.
Tintinabula - Liza Winland  is honored to grace the stage at ZCT for the second time. She was seen in the 2003 Angel Tree production as one of the "Santa Babes." Liza also was assistant student producer for "The Diary Of Anne Frank." Liza loves the community theatre and everyone involved. Liza was in her first production at Roosevelt Middle School as the "Fiddler" in Fiddler on the Roof. Liza has since been involved in many productions with the Zanesville High School Drama Department. Liza's favorite roles have included; "Priscilla Doornale", in "Death of a Doornail, "Lucy Westerna," in "Dracula", and "Hope Harcourt," in the show "Anything Goes." Liza enjoys being behind the scenes, but loves the stage just as much. Liza plans to attend Baldwin Wallace College in the Fall to major as Athletic Training, and also pursue hopes her love for music and the stage. Enjoy the show :).
  Panacea - Tiffany Eppley
Geminae - Ashley Eaves  is currently employed as a Nanny. She is thrilled to be performing on the ZCT stage one last time before heading to college this fall. Ashley will be attending Bethel College in Indiana, and plans to major in theatre arts. She got her start in theatre in 2002, with her first role as “Mrs. Griggs” in ZCT’s production of Ramona Quimby. Since then she has acted in many shows, two of her favorites being: Charlotte’s Web as “Charlotte”, and 84 Charing Cross Road as “Megan Wells”. Although being onstage is her first choice, Ashley enjoys being involved in the behind-the-scenes work as well. She has been involved in every show this season, doing just about everything; acting, stage managing, running box office, or helping with hair and make-up. She would like to thank her family and friends for all their love and support, all those involved with ZCT for the great memories and friendships; and last but not least the cast, crew, and audience for making this a great show.
Geminae - Sarah Fries is delighted to be a part of this wonderful cast. She is a senior at West Muskingum High School and will be attending college at OUZ part-time during her senior year. This will be her second role in a production at the ZCT.
Her first role was a walk-on role as "Sarah" in the production "Baker's Dozen". She has also had roles in productions at West Muskingum High School of  "Get Smart" (Helen) and "Twelve Angry Jurors"(Juror No. 5). Her other artistic activities include writing, vocal lessons, and concert choir. "I hope to be involved in many other productions at the ZCT, as I am very fond of music and theater...not to mention the people I've met here. I hope everyone will get a great laugh out of this spectacular comedy!
Vibrata - Shelley M. Tolliver has been a member of ZCT since 1995 both onstage and off. She fell in love with Forum at first sight when ZCT did it several years ago. It was one of the few times she saw a show and ran out and bought the CD. She is going to thoroughly enjoy just being an actress for this show. "Its a liberating thought to have a small part without the responsibility of the 'behind the scenes' work." she says, "and it's a wonderful chance to work with my husband, Rich, who's ornery creativity suits him well as Pseudelous not to mention it's a show of great fun where anything can happen...and probably will...especially with this cast!" She hopes everyone who sees this show has a fun time and thanks everyone who made air conditioning possible for ZCT!
Gymnasia - Rebecca Dennis returns to the ZCT stage in the role of Gymnasia. I am very excited to be a part of this show. Thank you to Jacob for working around my crazy travel schedule that I have for my position at my company! I cover the entire state of Ohio with my work and somehow we made it happen! Rebecca attended Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, WV on a theatre, music and art scholarship. Rebecca has been a part of the ZCT family since November of 2003 and has served on the board since 2004. She has performed in theatre in many capacities at local, professional and collegiate levels
Philia - Amy Brand is excited to be performing at ZCT for the second time. Before coming to Zanesville she participated in theater at Vassar College in upstate New York and at Perkiomen School in eastern Pennsylvania. Favorite roles include Lady Thiang in The King and I, Annabelle in Lucky Stiff, and Princess Winnifred in Once Upon A Mattress. Besides performing, Amy is responsible for the caricatures of cast members posted in the lobby. This September she will embark on her first "adult" job as an art teacher to fifth through twelfth grade students. She sends love to her mom, MJ, the director, and her puppy-dogs!
  Erronius - Robert Taylor
Miles Gloriosus - Todd King Born at a very young age, in a log cabin he helped his father build, Todd King has overcome amazing barriers and risen to great heights in his tenure with the Zanesville Community Theater. He has recently played in Working (Mike and Frank), and co-directed The Odd Couple with his lovely wife, Amy. In past seasons he has played in Little Shop of Horrors (the dentist) and worked on numerous Angel Tree Benefits. He is happy to bring you this evening, the character of Miles Gloriousus "Stand aside ~~ he takes large steps!"

Director - Jacob Hauser is directing his first and last show with ZCT. He is getting married to a wonderful lass at the end of July and leaving for Pennsylvania. Jacob wants everyone to know what a huge impact ZCT and all the folks involved with it have had on him. He is very lucky to have known and worked with so many wonderful people. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this show spectacular. Hopefully, you will enjoy watching the show as much as we enjoyed bringing it together.
Music Director - Emily Rezek has been active with ZCT for approximately 2 years, but has taken her first stab at musical direction with this production of Forum. She's happy to be working with such a fun and boisterous group, and has thoroughly enjoyed this experience.
Assistant Director - Jillian B. Von Gunten is currently a poor, starving college student greatly enjoying her summer vacation. Jillian has been involved with theatre her entire life, not only here at Z.C.T. where she currently serves on the Board of Directors, but also with the Bishop Rosecrans High School Drama Department and the Denison University Theatre Department. She has worked behind the scenes as Stage Manager and Assistant Director on productions such as Romeo and Juliet, The Odd Couple, Grace and Glorie, and The Mousetrap among others and she has appeared in the “limelight” in 84 Charing Cross Road as Cecily Farr, Blithe Spirit as Ruth Condomine, Working as Babe Secoli, The Odd Couple (Female Version) as Olive Madison, Rumors as Cookie Cusack, The Diary of Anne Frank as Margot Frank and various other shows. Forum has always been one of her favorite shows and she hopes the audience enjoys this show as much as she’s enjoyed working with the phenomenal cast and crew. Sit back, relax, and laugh!
  Producer - Amy King
Lighting Designer - Carleton B. Underwood is as much as a fixture at ZCT as the fixtures he uses to illuminate the stage. He's been involved with Theatre, Lighting, and Sound for a long time... Starting out in the 1960’s with reel-to-reel tape, razor blades and grease pencils and variable transformer dimming systems all the way to the 21st century with computer assisted sound and lighting where “cut-and-paste” is non-destructive…usually..  He's lighted Alex Haley,  Dr. Ralph Abernathy, former Ohio Governor Richard Celeste, Terry Waldo, and others plus beauty pageants,  musicals, plays, original works in the US and Canada. And of course, the good folks at ZCT.
In October 2005, on Halloween, I’ll be retiring from my current paying job. I’ll have over 30 years in with the State of Ohio. It’s time for a new “job”.  Part of the new job will be to be with my family, watching and helping Ms. C and working on long over due projects. But I’m not retiring from Theatre – ever.
Stage Manager - Janet Prince - This is Janet's second production with ZCT having last appeared as the school teacher and the socialite in "Working." Whether on the stage or behind the scenes, Janet is thrilled to be part of the wonderful art called theatre. Thank you for your support.
