"’Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house…." We’ve all heard these words and had our imaginations stirred many times by Clarence Clement Moore’s exciting tale of a visit from Saint Nick. Its woven into the very fabric of our American Christmas traditions, second only to the birth of the Baby Jesus. The 11th Annual Angel Tree Benefit (On a Hoof and a Prayer) is getting geared up and ready to go. Last year’s show raised enough money to help fifty children. As always, everyone who auditions will be cast. We will be using a variety of songs, stories and skits – some old and some new.
The 11th Annual Angel Tree will be sponsored once again by Zanesville Community Theatre, with the help from Dreamlight Productions, and will again be hosted by Bryan Place, located at 49 N. 6th Street in Zanesville. The historic charm and atmosphere lent an ambiance last year that delighted our patrons, not to mention many of them ate a wonderful meal there before the show.
The show dates are December 14, 15 and 16. Auditions will be held at Zanesville Community Theatre on October 7 and 8 at 7 p.m. No prepared pieces are necessary. If you have any desire to be onstage, meet new people, give something back to the community or just plain want to have a good time, come celebrate the season with us. Help put smiles on the faces, and faith in the hearts, of those who might not be a fortunate as we are this Christmas. You just may find it’s the best gift you’ll receive this year.
Your generous donation will be accepted in lieu of a set ticket price
