Cast Bios - The Lion in Winter
Ron Morrison - Henry II - Has appeared on stage in Newark with
the Licking County Players, Encore Productions, and Weathervane Playhouse.
Some of his favorite roles include Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey, Big Daddy in Cat On A Hot Tin
Roof, Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman. Ron has also
performed a one-man show - Clarence Darrow. Ron has greatly enjoyed his first ZCT
experience.
Kiesha Jenkins - Alais - This is Kiesha's third performance at
ZCT. She also performed in Equus and Biloxi Blues, both under the direction of the
amazing Manny Flowers. Kiesha is thrilled to finally be performing with one of her best
friends, Daniel Shuey. Kiesha dedicates her performance
to a special someone who's risked life and limb for theatre - you know who you are and she
loves you more each day.
Doug Shuey - John - Is an 8th grader at West Muskingum Middle
School. I have been a dancing teen in The Music Man and Crown Prince Chafa
Chululongkorn in The King and I at ZTP. I have also been in countless church and school
plays. I was also in the movie Joey.
Daniel Shuey - Geoffery - This illustrious star of the stage and
the silver screen is ecstatic to be returning to his first love - legitimate
theatre after a short hiatus to start his film career. You may have seen the ruggedly
handsome Thunder Dan previously at this theatre in shows
such as Tommy, To Kill A Mockingbird, Lost in Yonkers, Equus, Hagar the Horrible to name a
few. You may have seen this talented young man in his
film debut in Joey. Daniel wishes to thank Manny, the coolest director in the world, for
giving him inspiration in every aspect of his life. Also, Daniel thanks the cast, 'cause
they are cool!
Joseph Vasquez - Richard-Lionhart - makes his ZCT debut with The
Lion In Winter. He has appeared in numerous productions in Columbus, including
The Glass Menagerie (Jim, the gentleman caller) with Bread & Circus; Macbeth (Malcolm)
with the Rosebriar Shakespeare Co.; Moby Dick-Rehearsed
and The Taming of the Shrew with Arden Shakespeare Co. and Tartuffe (Damis), Antony and
Cleopatra (Agrippa), and Midsummer Night's Dream
(Snug) with Actors Theatre, to name a few. Joseph is grateful for the opportunity to get
to know 41 of the best miles of I-70 in depth.
Mony Carpenter - Eleanor of Aquitaine - This is Mony's first
appearance with Zanesville Community Theatre, though she's been nearly everyone's
mother at one time or another with such diverse children as John the Baptist, Hamlet &
John Wilkes Booth. Central Ohio audiences have had the
opportunity to see Mony's work with Grandparents Living Theatre, Arden Shakespeare Co.,
Reality Theatre, Actors Summer Theatre, Rosebriar
Shakespeare Co., Little Theatre Off Broadway, Worthington Community Theatre, Westerville
Curtain Players, and Bread & Circus. Her background
includes summer stock, classical mime studies in Paris, and radio work at WRMU-FM. She
supports her theatre habit by day as an auditor/trainer for a third-party administrator in
Westerville.
Luke Stoneburner - Philip - has played in the Rosebriar
Shakespeare Co. in Columbus as well as the Park Teen Playhouse. He is 19 and currently
studying Photography at Columbus State. Sooner or later, he plans a jaunt on over to
Nagasaki where he will continue his study of Japanese.
